Memory Complex 3 was hosted by Lily Hyon and organized by curator Kyle Colón at his exhibition site, “sweet tears! rescribe the shadows affixed to these intangible structures, so I may once more forget, and suffer the bitter-saccharine taste of rememory.
Colón’s exhibition looks to explore the relation between physical space and human memory. Each work uses personal and historic narrative to contest the inevitable erasure of both memory and physical space owed to the nature of the passage of time. Participants of the workshop rendered sites of personal importance purely based on memory.
